After service in the Navy\, he worked in the aerospace industry and worked on the lunar landing module.\nReport on the October District 10 conference.\nSemiquintcentenial: We have received approval from the Bedford Town council to conduct the 250th anniversary of United States of America parade on Armed Forces Day; Saturday\, May 16\, 2026. We need to put together an event committee starting now! Preliminary plan outline to be presented.\nA report on our building maintenance remediation progress.\nA review of 2025-2026 year calendar of events.\nWe fell below the 2023-2024 year target in renewals and new members. We need to focus on recruiting new members. We have plenty of promotional materials. There are over 5\,000 veterans in Bedford County\, a good recruiting base.\nWe need volunteers to staff our Veterans Day helmet collection on Saturday\, November 8 at Bedford Food Lion from 9:00am to 5:00pm in 2 hour shifts.\nBedford Viet Nam Memorial dedication November 22 update.\nJROTC update.\nHonor Guard update\n\n  \nTAPS:        Bob VandeLinde \n
